Ethereal Guitars produce a range of unique, one of a kind electric guitars and electric bass guitars that provide incredible tone and playability. Located in the nearby hills of Melbourne, Australia, luthier Jon Ward has had a lifelong passion for music and woodcraft. Jon has played guitar for over 20 years and has developed a unique ability to match a tonal desire with an instrument capable of achieving the musical goal. 2 Years ago, Jon turned his hand to the design and craftsmanship required to produce uniquely outstanding electric guitars and bass guitars. With a love of native Australian and exotic timbers, Ethereal Guitars produce instruments that reflect the individual characteristics of each timber chosen, hoping that the completed instrument will in turn reflect the individual characteristics of it's owner.

All Ethereal Guitars are custom crafted from select Australian and exotic overseas timbers with few exceptions. Each instrument is individually built to exacting standards to ensure a wealth of musical pleasure. The appearance of Ethereal Guitars is no coincidence. Each piece of timber is hand selected for the project to create the synergies that only beautiful timbers can provide.

We have a wide range of timber suppliers and the experience required to identify outstanding tone wood candidates. We stock significant quantities of tone wood to ensure that all materials selected are seasoned and stable and ready for the task at hand.

Ethereal Guitars also respects our precious global environment. We consider reclaimed timbers where possible and without attempting to exhaustively list every species or its point of supply we can accurately claim to hold stocks from Africa, Asia, North & South America and almost every State of Australia.

Most of our imported species are sourced from providers who secure timber from sustainable or managed resources and we respect and encourage Australia's strong defence of our native forests.
